Hi, I'm Phyllida.
By day I'm a Campaigns Manager turned Freelance Communications Consultant...plus a couple of other hats.
Like many other 'millennials', I have picked up a few side hustles along the way.
Alongside my career in heading up charity campaigns such as the 'I Am Not Your Villain Campaign' and the Changing Faces Campaign against Hate Crime, I offer speeches and workshops on body image, scars and being confident in an age of 'filters and photoshop'. My first TEDX discussed what it's like to be a woman with facial scarring in a world which associates scars with villainy and vulnerability.
In my spare time I work on illustrative and installation based commissions after having studied Modelmaking (3D design for non-geeks) at university in Bournemouth.
I am currently in the early stages of starting up a food blog called 'What People Eat' in the hope to turn the project into a social business through events and programmes which help to tackle real life issues like food poverty, sustainability and the cultural divides that exist throughout the world. All of which through harnessing the power of food, alongside the stories and the people behind it all.
